To see the actual site of the Jorvik Viking Centre in York UK, link to www.jorvik-viking-centre.co.uk . This does look like a well-constructed site (2001/03) (no messy unnecessary ActiveX etc! Perhaps it's a website like a Viking boat, well-made and doesn't leak.

As regards the Viking Centre in York, it is a remarkable experience involving a somewhat literal interpretation of the idea of "Travelling back in time". Sights, sounds, and smells are there to be experienced. It's realistic if you've got some imagination.

Also note: Viking helmets do not have horns on.
