Oddbins the Wine Merchant - well known for selling good wine.
"Purchase an award-winning range of wines, spirits and champagne from an award-winning wine merchant!" ...Oddbins
"Odd by name?... Oddbins is different from other wine merchants and proudly so. It begins with our wine, of course, which is variously described as esoteric, adventurous and wildly exciting. Add to that the most informed and enthusiastic staff ever assembled in the world of wine and you have an unstoppable combination. But don't take our word for it, it is this difference which has led to us winning Wine Magazine's Wine Merchant of the Year 2001 for a record 7th year in a row and 12 times in total and The Which Wine Guide 2002, Best High Street Chain Award."...Oddbins
"Oddbins remains at the cutting edge of wine retail, sticking firmly to its philosophy of making wine fun and accessible to non-experts."... The Daily Telegraph, IWC supplement, 15th September 2001
"You don't need to be an expert to enjoy wine, you can get involved as much or as little as you like. However, understanding the basics will boost your confidence and enhance your pleasure. Oddbins recognises that for newcomers learning the ropes can be confusing or even embarrassing when it should be exciting!" ...Oddbins
"Oddbins is still out there doing what it does best: seeking out brave new wine from the Brave New World and dropping them in alongside the famous names from Europe without regard for reputations, good or bad. If it's good it goes on the shelf. If it isn't, it doesn't."
"Wine may be a huge, complex industry, but Oddbins has been making it accessible to non-experts for longer than anyone else, and is still ahead of the game."
" the difference with Oddbins is that it's on almost every high street, and you'll always find someone who can talk to you knowledgeably about what's on the shelves."
"It all goes to show that for this outfit, at least, wine is more than just a business it's an enthusiasm to be shared." ...Wine Magazine October 2001
